So I know some people reading this are still thinking: “Not me, there’s no way I can do a detox.” “I’m too busy with kids.” “I have this disease or that disease.” “I’ll be traveling.” “I don’t want to be deprived.” OR, my favorite: “What if I find that I shouldn’t be eating my favorite food? I would rather not know.”
All interesting comments. None of them are really valid though. I once thought that I could never do a detox. Or give up soda – I did. Or give up caffeine – I did that for a whole year! Or give up foods that I liked because they impacted my health – I’ve done that for a number of foods. What it boils down to is our priorities. In the last eleven years, I have had to put my health first over a lot of other things. But that’s okay because I like feeling healthy.
So as to excuses. Well, if you have diabetes then you can absolutely do this detox with minimal adjustments. And for other diseases, Core Values Detox Plus can certainly be tweaked to accommodate you. That’s what I’ll be doing by supporting you through the detox.
Regarding many of the other excuses, I encourage you to read back through my Core Values Detox Plus journey so far. I believe I address many of them.
And me? I’ve made it halfway through my detox now and am feeling pretty darn good. I have more energy and am thinking clearer than I have been lately. Plus, I’ve lost 4 pounds so far. BONUS!
Oh yes, one more thing before I go. The picture above is the chicken we had for dinner last night. I marinated it in the Tangy Cilantro Dressing that I made on day 1. From a recipe included in the Core Values Detox Plus recipe packet. Then we cooked it out on the grill.
