On the day after my detox experience, I attended a networking event. Typical to so many networking events, it took place during lunch time. At a place that had too much MSG in their food so I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat. Which is never a good situation for me because that low blood sugar feeling that happens when I skip a meal can also cause a migraine.
Sooo, I made myself a smoothie that I drank on the way to the event. Thinking that would tide me over. It didn’t. As soon as the event ended I was craving sugar. Fast. And I caved and stopped at a local coffee place and got a sweet, frozen coffee drink. I knew I shouldn’t do it, but I was a bit desperate and in a hurry. I then also ate a snack that also wasn’t one of the best choices.
Now this is where it gets weird: The next morning, when I woke up, I felt a bit sick, almost as though I had a hangover. Weird, right? But that just shows us what refined sugar and processed foods are actually doing. Not a good thing.
And it’s also a reminder to me to plan better for those lunchtime events when I can’t eat what’s being served.
There’s still time to sign up for Core Values Detox Plus! The kick off was 10.03.2013, but you can still sign up and get the recorded call.

This is so true. Means I can hardly eat out anymore. Instead, I travel with nuts and juice in my purse. Feels kind of weird, but much less difficult than the results of eating bad food. Keep up the great work!
