Holiday Party IdeasIf you’re going to a party or having a party or get-together of your own, then you may be looking for holiday party ideas. My husband has a salad that he takes to all of the work gatherings. It contains mandarin oranges, pineapple, marshmallows, sour cream, pecans, sometimes maraschino cherries, and sometimes coconut. He’s the one that makes it and it is often requested by his co-workers. I don’t really have that recipe. But I have some suggestions that are much better than that one, although perhaps not always as easy.
Fiesta Cheese BallFirst up is my Fiesta Cheese Ball. I created this cheese ball as part of a contest – and it even WON! Ingredients include goat cheese, bacon, pecans, cinnamon, and chipotle powder. Mmmmm! Bacon!
Next up is the Festive Cranberry Jalapeño Salsa. My only claim to this recipe is that I tried it and have shared it far and wide ever since. Make it up a day in advance so all those flavors can mingle. I’m actually planning to try freezing it this year just to see if it works. It’s a hit any time of year. By the way, did you know you can stuff your bags of whole cranberries in the freezer for later use? That’s how you can have this dish year round!
The ingredients for making Hot-n-Spicy Pecans – a little bit of sweet and a whole lot of spicy! The last of my holiday party ideas is certainly not the least. Hot-n-Spicy Pecans are really tasty. They are great for a party or simply to have around for a tasty snack.
Thank you so much for by. Do you have a favorite recipe to take to parties.
I love to cook. I’m also a health coach, a path I chose after going through a health crisis which taught me the importance of eating healthy meals. Now, I want to combine the two — health coaching and cooking — to help people learn to cook healthy meals. To plan healthy meals. And to eat healthy meals. For more, please visit Your Cooking Coach.
Oooh that cheeseball looks awesome! I also want to try your Jalapeno Salsa.
